For serious...

Why is it that when you're trying to get someone's attention via instant message, it seems like it takes AGES to get any response? I've been trying to get my husband to answer a question for the past twenty minutes and I'm starting to feel like a terrier. (Hey! Hey! Hey! Look at me! Hey!)

Ok I'll admit it...

I have no idea what I'm doing. Truly. I suspect I'm probably not the first newbie blogger to write that, but there it is.

I sat around for a few days after creating this account wondering what you do with your first blog post. Should it be profound? Insightful? Should I give a rough outline of what I hope to accomplish? Should I introduce myself?

In the end, I've more or less decided that the only answer I have is: none of the above. All of it sounds more than a little contrived. I don't know what I hope this becomes, and I feel silly introducing myself to a faceless audience of potentially zero - much like I felt when I wrote in the first page of my first diary when I was 11 (you know, back when paper was in).

So we'll see. Lots to talk about: Babies, work, turning 30, being married to one of the hottest guys on the planet, money, whatever. I'm bound to have at least a post or two in here somewhere.
