Big news I suppose...we've decided to sell our house! I know-insane, right? Now, before the nameless masses (and I'm sure there are literal MASSES of people reading this haha) ask, yes, we are fully aware of the doom and gloom surrounding the housing market. BUT on the flip side, I think Cliff and I both see a lot of positives - our house is prime for first time home buyers with the 8K tax credit, interest rates are low and most importantly, as it turns out, we're already busting out all over. Also Cliff wants a garage. I never realized how much I would literally crave a garage until we had a carport. I suspect this has more to do with my desire to pile a bunch of stuff
up out of sight of neighbors than any real need to have covered, protected parking for my car.
Here's the link though-anyone want an adorable 3 bedroom just off Kavanaugh? Jefferson schools!:

Also since I take several months' hiatus between posts...Lucy and I have had birthdays! I turned thirty, which was less adorable...Lucy turned 1! Admittedly the above is a horrible picture of me (and not the greatest quality, but I'm blogging at work and it's the best I could do!), but Lucy has that adorable mom-why-are-you-doing-this-to-me look on her face. Can't help but giggle.
Kind of amazing that she's changed so much. Just last year, the two of us looked a teensy bit different. Let me really abuse the ability to post pictures on this thing (surely excessive photo posting makes up for lack of actually remembering to post anything else for months at a time...right??):

Ok-so that's me at 38 weeks...I think about two days before I delivered. Now it's important to note that Lucy only weighed 6 lbs., 2 ozs. when she was born. This begs the question of why my stomach is so ginormous and why does it look like I'm carrying an additional baby in my butt? The answer to that question is surprisingly simple:
Cupcakes on Kavanaugh opened in Spring 2008.

Apparently I took their web address very seriously. I ate A LOT of cupcakes in my third tri. I have to say though-I don't regret it.
But I digress-I was trying to post about how different Lucy and I are this summer from last. I think I've made my point about how different I am-although I could probably lose the last ten pounds of baby fat if I quit giving in to my addiction to cupcakes and sweets of all shapes and sizes.
Whoops! More digression! Speaking of sweets and food, I'm about to meet a friend for lunch. To wrap up, I'll again revert to posting cute baby pictures. Meet Lucy, circa June/July 2008:

Sigh...almost makes me ready for another one.
Almost. :)
